You're special. I don't exactly have many who I'm close enough to to warrant this, after all. But there's also liquid courage involved.

No, I didn't. But thank you for reminding me. I'm at home, Diluc's working late and I didn't feel like being by myself at the bar tonight. I could definitely use the company.

[ Guess who teleported until he found the room Kaeya was in, and immediately moves to wrap his arms around his waist into a hug. Yes, he absolutely appeared and went right in for a snuggle. ]

Oof.

[Kaeya playfully stumbled when he was suddenly hugged. He had been standing out on the back porch, wrapped in a blanket while sipping the wine that had him drunkenly texting Venti. He was careful not the spill and he nudged Venti to back up a little so he could open the blanket and let Venti back in.]

Good evening, Venti.

[ His voice is light and happy when he sees the other and is invited to join him under the blanket on the porch. He tucks himself against Kaeya's side, immediately cuddling up close to him there. ]

I didn't expect you to be outside, wistfully staring into the distance.

Or something like that.

[ He lets out a small Ehe. ]

[He has to be careful with the glass of wine now that one his arms was occupied. Thankfully, there isn't much left and he was barely even a third third or so through the bottle. He didn't have to worry about spilling, although he does tip the glass carefully in Venti's direction, offering a sip.]

Just wanted to look at the stars, that's all. I feel a little less lonesome, even if it's cold out.

[He was a little more resistant to the winter weather, but not immune. He still needed a jacket even in Dragonspine. No one was as good as Albedo in withstanding that particular cold.]

[ Venti accepts the sip, and takes a small one. He knows they can always get more if they want it, but he's more concerned with tucking him up against Kaeya's warm body. He is apparently feeling quite affectionate (which isn't particularly unusual for him around Kaeya). ]

Ah - do the stars make you feel less lonesome? Are you hoping for a star man to come keep you company? I hope I suffice.

[ He hums. ]

[Honestly, he was a little surprised that Venti didn't take more than a sip but he didn't comment. Instead, he hummed quietly in contemplation.]

Not particularly. I quite like the people from home, rather than from other stars.

[Not that he disliked anyone not from Teyvat, but the sense of familiarity was a little more comforting than a total otherworldly stranger at times.]

But I suppose knowing that there are others on those stars is what gives the sense of company for me.

Ah, I agree. I always feel the best when I have someone from home at my side.

[ Kaeya, Xiao, Diluc, Zhongli - they are all among Venti's most trusted people. He loved and cared for many people, including some he met here, but no one was quite like those who were from home. ]

I would think it's pretty lonely any place out there instead of here with people I love.
